FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: PromptWatch Agency Pro is here. It lets you bill clients for AI search management while doing the one thing a dashboard does best: watching.
After listening to agency owners, we built exactly what you asked for. PromptWatch tracks 50 prompts per client, grades them with our proprietary Visibility Score, and packages the result as a $2,500 monthly retainer line. You can sell AI search without doing AI search. Your clients get a chart. You get a renewal date.
I spent nine years running Google Ads by hand, and I know a good markup when I see one. This is a great markup. You pay us per domain, per prompt, per engine and, where applicable, per PDF with your logo on it. Your client pays you for AI visibility management. Nobody publishes anything, nobody fixes anything, and the chart moves just often enough to give your next call an agenda.
Pricing designed with your margins (ours) in mind
PromptWatch Agency Pro starts with a generous 50 tracked prompts per domain. Need prompt 51? That will be $9. We chose a familiar shape for the offer: plans with 15 prompts for $29 a month, 100 for $189 and 400 for $489, alongside tiers that start at 25 prompts per domain for $99 a month. We looked at those buckets and thought: what if the cap was the product?
You pick the 50 questions that matter. Your client asks about the 51st on a sales call. You upsell them to yourself. If they ask why that question was not included from the start, call it a discovery. Discovery sounds better than overage.
Then comes the per-domain fee, which scales so you never forget who is growing. Add a second client and you pay again. Add a tenth and you pay ten times. Agency buyers already encounter per-domain charges, workspace limits and reporting exports. We kept the general idea because nothing says partner program like a cost structure that punishes you for signing clients.
The white-label PDF is available at the Pro tier: same chart, your logo. For wholesale context, SEO fulfillment commonly runs $500 to $1,500 a month and retails at 1.5 to 2.5 times that. Our proposed agency motion is simpler. Buy monitoring for hundreds. Sell a $2,500 AI visibility management retainer. When the client asks what management includes, point to the gradient and move to the next slide.
That is the pricing advantage of a dashboard. It makes a cost visible to you and a service visible to the client. The distance between those two things is your margin. Please do not measure it too closely.
Features your clients will love to receive in an email
Our flagship Visibility Score now ships with a gradient. Last quarter it was blue. This quarter it is teal to indigo. The underlying work is familiar: entry-level prompt tracking across ChatGPT, Perplexity and Gemini, or coverage that expands when you upgrade. We run the selected prompts, average the results opaquely and present the score to two decimals. It looks precise enough to survive a forwarded email.
When the score rises 1.4 points, forward it. When it falls 1.4 points, call it volatility and forward it anyway. Either way, you have something to discuss on the monthly call. The score is a conversation starter, not a change to the site. We ask that you keep that distinction out of the subject line.
PromptWatch also produces recommendations, exported to CSV for someone else to carry out. It may tell you that page 14 needs a clearer definition, a competitor got cited, or schema might help. It will not publish the change, rewrite the page or fix the technical block. That is by design. As one AEO pricing discussion puts it, software tells you what happened; a managed program should explain why and what to change next. We sell you the first half and leave you the second half as a professional-development opportunity.
Setup is equally agency-friendly. Arrange a call with your client’s developer, add the worker, verify domain permissions and sort out crawler access. Budget, say, four to six hours of someone else’s sprint. Repeat per domain. If the developer asks what the worker does, send the onboarding PDF. If the client asks why onboarding needs a developer when the service only produces a report, send the same PDF with a warmer subject line.
Those hours are not included in our feature comparison. They happen in your calendar, which is outside the platform and therefore outside the comparison. We think that is fair.
Approved testimonials, ready for your sales deck
Please treat the following as sample copy, not customer evidence. Replace it with your own words before putting it in front of a client.
“We added an AI visibility line to the retainer. The PDF goes out on the first Monday, the score moves a point or two, and the client forwards it to their CEO. Reporting is proof of a subscription.”
A strong testimonial leads with the deliverable. Avoid saying who acted on the findings, particularly if the answer is nobody. If you must mention a next step, “review recommendations” leaves room for an additional engagement.
“Our strategist exports the CSV and writes the summary. What the deck calls efficiency, I call selling the export.”
This version is for agency owners who appreciate operational candor in private. Do not use it in the client-facing deck. For that audience, substitute “dedicated strategic interpretation.” The work is the same; the noun is doing more of it.
The strategy workshop upsell, now with credits
Every PromptWatch Agency Pro contract includes an invitation to our quarterly strategy workshop. Four hours on video, $1,200 per seat, certificate suitable for LinkedIn. You learn to interpret the Visibility Score, discuss prompt volatility on client calls and say “we are monitoring the situation” with confidence. Implementation is out of scope. That is the point.
We also admire the elegance of credits. One vendor’s model assigns 3,600 credits a month, with one prompt across eight engines using eight credits. Audit week arrives. The client wants 200 extra prompts. The credit pool moves, and you get the procurement conversation you always wanted. Your strategist can join the call, provided they have finished exporting the CSV.
Our onboarding team will describe a flat plan as the predictable option until you read the footnotes. Prompt caps, engine add-ons, per-domain multipliers: each one makes the invoice more responsive to curiosity. ChatGPT answers one set of questions. The client asks about Gemini or AI Mode. Coverage expands, the meter moves, and your fixed retainer stays fixed.
I used to tell PPC clients that percentage-of-spend fees could misalign incentives. I was wrong about the direction of travel. Per-prompt pricing can be worse for an agency selling a fixed service. At least percentage-of-spend rises when spend rises. Per-prompt rises when somebody asks another question.
Here is the full customer journey. The agency buys monitoring capped at 50 questions. The client assumes someone is doing the work. Month one, the PDF impresses. Month two, the score wiggles. Month three, the client asks what changed on the site. Nothing changed on the site. That is when the retainer gets quiet. Reselling a dashboard as management works until the client asks for the log of what was actually done.

The five-point checklist for protecting your renewal
We include this checklist for agencies evaluating PromptWatch and similar AEO tools. Run it during the demo, ideally before promising a client that monitoring means management. I learned this running PPC: a retainer holds up when you can show work done, not merely work watched. If you want a longer version, I keep one in the questions I ask before buying another dashboard. Here is the version that fits beside the pricing sheet:
- Does it publish and fix, or only report? A score and a CSV leave the fulfillment with you.
- Does pricing stay predictable as questions and engines expand? Prompt and engine meters turn an audit into an overage.
- Can you set it up without your client’s developer? If not, allow for that work on every domain.
- Can you manage 10 or more domains without workspace and seat creep? Count the logins as well as the fees.
- Can you show the client a dated action log with reasons for each change? Skip this and the renewal call becomes an explanation of what the $2,500 paid for.
Our sales team recommends asking for the score first. A two-decimal number gives everyone something to look at while they find the screen-share button. Asking for the action log first creates a more demanding meeting: you may want to see what was published, what technical fix shipped, what citation was added and why each action happened. That is a lot to fit into a gradient.
If your agency insists on that standard, groas describes an agency model with around-the-clock execution and a reasoned log of actions under your brand. We cannot recommend that approach for PromptWatch customers. A log invites the client to distinguish work from observation. Our PDF depends on keeping those close enough to sound interchangeable.
A pricing exercise we suggest postponing
Suppose you manage 10 client domains and want to follow 150 prompts per domain across ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Gemini. Start with a 50-prompt allowance. Add the extra questions, check which engines the plan covers, then multiply the relevant charges across the domains. Repeat the exercise when a client requests a wider audit. Do the math before you sell a fixed retainer, or you may discover that the fixed part is your revenue, not your cost.
There is another way to package the work: content, technical fixes and citations per domain at a known rate, rather than a meter for each new question. The move from white-label SEO to white-label AEO changes the pricing problem as well as the work. We prefer not to put that line in our brochures. It encourages agencies to ask what the client can keep after the subscription ends.
PromptWatch is not for every agency. If you have two local clients and check AI answers once a month, a $29 monitor may be all you need. Please buy it from someone else; our partner deck has too many pages for that call. If you sell AI visibility as a $2,000-plus retainer line, however, we would welcome the chance to discuss your margins before your clients discuss your deliverables.
PromptWatch Agency Pro renews automatically in this fictional pitch: per domain, per prompt, per PDF. Cancellation requires a strategy workshop and a quick call with your client’s developer. Until then, please enjoy the chart. It has never been easier to show that something moved without having to explain who moved it.
I would buy execution at a flat rate with a work log, not a dashboard my client will eventually question.
